INTRODUCTION: Want to spruce up your fuel tank, but don’t necessarily have money for a stretched tank? Consider sprucing up the tank’s console instead. You’d be surprised what nice low-profile dash will do for your stock tank. Klock Werks makes a really nice looking one. Its called a “Curvaceous Kustom Metal Dash”. They also make a neat chrome ignition switch cover that matches perfectly with the dash. Here’s the 411…

DETAILS: The Curvaceous Kustom Metal Dash by Klock Werks is made in the USA from 16-gauge stamped steel that is laser cut and e-coated to prevent rust and corrosion. It is designed to replace the stock fuel tank consoles on Harley baggers. The dash is available in a variety of lengths to accommodate different seat styles. Two lengths (short and long) for 08 and newer baggers, and in three lengths for 07 and older baggers (short, long, and extended). Klock Werks designed the dashes to be custom painted, but as you can see the dash featured in this spotlight is chrome. This particular dash was taken to a local plating shop for chroming. Klock Werks includes a rubber dash trim and installation instructions. Low-profile vented caps like the one featured in this spotlight are recommended with the Curvaceous Metal Dash and sold separately.

Like the dash, the Curvaceous Chrome Ignition Switch Cover is also made in the USA and is designed to dress up the stock ignition switch on Harley baggers. The switch cover is machined from 6061 billet aluminum and is highly polished and show-chromed. The cover attaches to the top of the stock ignition switch using 3M adhesive material. Included with the cover are a few alcohol cleaning pads to ensure a strong adhesion.

THOUGHTS: The Curvaceous Dash is a beautiful piece. Its simple, yet elegant styling flows perfectly with the shape of Harley’s touring tank. It looks great painted, and it looks even sexier when its chromed! The dash is remarkably sturdy. I’m certain Klock Werks could have gotten away with using a thinner piece of steel, aluminum, or even decided to use ABS plastic or fiberglass–but they didn’t. That’s just how Klock Werks gets down–quality, quality, quality. Fitment of the dash is great. The curve at the base of the dash is perfectly cut to follow the the top of the fuel tank’s curvature. Both mounting points are spot on. Klock Werks Curvaceous Switch Cover is a cool little piece that matches perfectly with the styling of the dash. Its easily the simplest, and cheapest way to make your ignition switch cover look sexy. Do yourself a big favor and go get yourself a Curvaceous Dash and matching ignition cover from Klock Werks.
