An LED display on front chest indicates the airbags operational status. The LED display also incorporates a haptic alert, which vibrates to confirm the system is armed and alerts the rider when the battery is low.
Alpinestars crash detection triggering algorithm has been developed and refined with over 2 million kilometers of riding data and over 2,000 crashes allowing the system to accuratley assess when to deploy the airbag ahead of the impact of other dangerous situaiton like a high or low side crash. The system will activate the protective airbag in milliseconds. Once inflated the airbag provides full upperbody protection, keeping the riders safe by uniquely covering the riders full chest and full back.
